29 persons test positive, one more succumbs to COVID 19 in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 07: Another COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 17, while 29 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1457 on Monday.

In East Khasi Hills district, 05 new cases were reported, West Garo Hills 12 ,Ri Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills 03, besides  South Garo Hills,West Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills , South and East Garo Hills 01 each. All the positive reported this evening belongs from others category.

New recovered cases 04 were reported , in East Khasi Hills district and Ri Bhoi 01 each and West Khasi Hills 02, total recovered 1560.

Out of 1457 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 948 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 181 and Others : 767). In west Khasi Hills District 30 cases , Ri Bhoi district 119 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 29 and Others : 90), West Jaintia Hills district 12, East Jaintia Hills district 30, West Garo Hills district 186 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces:104 and Others :82), South West Garo Hills district 04, South Garo Hills district 16, East Garo Hills district 98 and North Garo Hills district 13.

The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,034 which includes Seventeen deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
