61 recovers, 92 fresh COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Meghalaya, one succumbs

COVID: Meghalaya records 26 fresh cases, 23 recovers from the virus

Shillong, Nov 05: Meghalaya recorded 61  recoveries , 92 fresh positive COVID-19 active cases and one death on Thursday .

According to the Health department , of the fatality reported on Thursday,  52 years male from Lachumiere, Shillong,  identified as Santosh Pradhan, who had tested positive for COVID-19 on 25 of last month at Woodland Hospital and later referred to NEIGRIHMS, succumbs to deadly virus on Nov 04 at around 4:30pm. Cause of death was Refractory Shock with Multi-organ Dysfunction Syndrome with Covid Pneumonia with Type II Diabetes Mellitus with Hypertension.

With one more death the fatality rate in the state due to COVID goes upt0 91.

New 92 COVID-19 positive  cases include 22 from East Khasi hills district (High risk- 16,Returnee- 02,SARI Case- 01 and Health worker- 03), 05 from Ri Bhoi District (High risk- 03 and ILI case- 02), 14  from East Jaintia Hills district (High risk- 09 and Returnee- 05), 18 high risk from West Jaintia Hills district , 09 West Garo Hills district (High risk- 01,ILI case- 03,Returnee- 02 and Screening purpose- 03), 06 high risk from South West Garo Hills district, 17 high-risk from East Garo Hills district, and 01 police personnel from North Garo Hills district.

Till date, the State has registered 9,893 COVID-19 cases, of which 989 are active,91 deceased and 8,813 have recovered.
