Shillong, Sep 22: The BJP Umroi Mandal meeting was held on Thursday at Bhoirymbong market.
This meeting was initiated by the Ri-Bhoi District committee to form the Umroi Mandal (Block) of BJP.
In the meeting more than 100 members joined the BJP from TMC & NPP in the presence of Ernest Mawrie State President BJP, Rupam Goswami Assam Spokesman, Skhem B Swet District President Ri-Bhoi, Torry Teison Kharsati District President East Khasi Hills.
The meeting elected Shanbor Rande as president and Bethelda Teron as general secretary of the mandal.
The state president lauded the effort of Ri-Bhoi district for completing all five mandals (Block) committees.
Mawrie also explained the ideology and principles of the party and urged all the members in the meeting to work hard so that in the coming Election the BJP can win a number of seats from Ri-Bhoi district.
