Congress being ‘malicious’ towards BJP by branding it ‘non-secular’

Garib Kalyan Sammelan: Union Minister of State for DoNER B L Verma to attend programme in Shillong

Shillong, Nov 20: The Meghalaya unit of the BJP has accused the Congress for being malicious towards the saffron party in terms of branding it non-secular, especially during the polls.

“It is imperative to remember BJP’s commitment for true secularism. India is a secular nation where the state guarantees equal protection to followers of all faiths and religions. We stand by the concept of true secularism,” the state unit of the BJP stated.

The state executive meeting of the BJP Meghalaya which was held on Saturday resolved to inspire its party workers to work towards success in the upcoming polls by removing organisational shortcomings.

The state BJP said that its commitment towards development is unwavering and it will ensure that development is the guiding force.

Another resolution taken by the state unit of the BJP is to reduce vaccination hesitancy which is still a looming problem in a few districts of our state.

“With more people in the state getting both doses of the vaccine, the fight against the Covid-19 virus becomes more successful,” the BJP stated.

It also stated that there are various schemes which have been introduced by the party at the centre for each and every citizen and it is the party workers duty to ensure that these percolate right to the last man in the spirit of ‘Antyodaya’ which is uplifting of the weakest person.
