Shillong, Sep 18: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday affected a change of portfolios among his ministers.
The Chief Minister took away the Power portfolio from James Sangma and handed him the Health and Family Welfare department.
Apart from the Health portfolio, Sangma will also look after Food, Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs, Forests & Environment, Information & Public Relations. Law, Taxation, Registration & Stamps Departments.
The Chief Minister took away Health and Family Welfare from Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong and handed him the Power portfolio besides Housing, Public Works Department (Roads) and Parliamentary Affairs.
Sniawbhalang Dhar was given charge of Tourism, Commerce & Industries, Urban Affairs, Municipal Administration, General Administration and Fisheries Department.
His nephew, Dasakhiatbha Lamare was given charge of Transport, Public Works (Buildings) Departments.
