Covid-19 claims 16 more in Meghalaya, toll rises to 694

‘Covid-19 cases in the state could be upto 25 times the numbers recorded’

Shillong, Jun 09: The death toll due to coronavirus in Meghalaya on Wednesday rose to 694 after it reported a fresh 16 fatalities, the health department said in a bulletin.

Among 16 death  in last 24 hours, 09 from East Khasi Hills district, 05 from West Jaintia Hills district, 01 each from West Garo Hills district and North Garo Hills district.

The state has 4,849 active Covid-19 cases with 448 fresh positive cases.

Meanwhile, the state also records 507 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 34,440.
