Covid-19: Meghalaya records highest-ever single-day spike with 321 cases

No fresh COVID cases recorded in Meghalaya on Monday

Shillong, May 2: Meghalaya records highest-ever single-day spike with 321 positive cases, 154 new recovered cases and 5 death on Sunday.

Health authorities informed that the total Covid death has climbed to 179, active cases is now 1,821 and 15,492 have recovered from the virus.

Of the 321 new cases – East Khasi Hills recorded 212, West Khasi Hills 11, Ri-Bhoi 15, West Garo Hills 41, South Garo Hills 01, East Jaintia Hills 11, south West Garo Hills 02, South West Khasi hills 03, West Jaintia Hills 20 and North Garo Hills 04 .

East Khasi Hills district has the highest number of active cases with 1,189, Ri-Bhoi 177, West Jaintia Hills 100, East Jaintia Hills 89, West Garo Hills 124, West Khasi Hills 53, South West Khasi Hills 21, South Garo Hills 16, East Garo Hills 30, South West Garo Hills 08 and North Garo Hills 14.
