COVID: Meghalaya records more recoveries than fresh cases on Tuesday

Meghalaya witness spike in COVID-19 cases, 31 new cases detected

Shillong, Nov 10: Meghalaya recorded 67 new COVID cases and 129 persons recovered from the virus on Tuesday.

As per the medical bulletin of the Health department the active cases is at 961 and the total recovered cases are 9,241.

Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that of the new cases recorded on Tuesday, 26 were from East Khasi Hills district, 11 from Ri-Bhoi district, 10 from West Garo Hills district, nine from East Jaintia Hills district, four from South Garo Hills district, two each from East Garo Hills district and South West Garo Hills district and one each from North Garo Hills district, South West Khasi Hills district and West Jaintia Hills district.

Out of the 2,13,973 persons tested for COVID-19 in the state so far, 2,03,677 have tested negative for the viral infection, even as the State had 36 containment zones as on Tuesday, 57,362 people have so far entered the state from outside.

Till date, Meghalaya has registered 10296 Covid-19 cases, including 962 active cases, 94 deaths due to the viral infection with the fatality rate at 0.91 and 9,241 recoveries from the disease.
