Dr. Mukul Sangma urges the people of Meghalaya to uphold their cultural heritage

Tura Nov.11 Chibagre:  West Garo Hills Keeping true to its traditions, Wangala, a festival that thanks the sun-god Misi Saljong for the harvest spirits of the season, was celebrated in Chibagre, West Garo Hills.

Present as the Chief Guest, Trinamool Congress Legislature Party Leader and Leader of Opposition, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Dr. Mukul Sangma made an emotional remark to the vivid crowd, “We can showcase our heritage to the whole world by preserving our traditional culture. Our culture is our pride, it is our way of life. Therefore, let the Khasi, Jaintia, and Garos work together to preserve our festivals and traditional rituals, and showcase our livelihood and culture to the world.”

On the second day of the three-day-long festivities, at Chibragre, North Tura, West Garo Hills, Trinamool Congress Legislature Party Leader and Leader of Opposition, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Dr. Mukul Sangma was present as the Chief Guest accompanied by Meghalaya TMC MLA Zenith Sangma, Meghalaya TMC MDC Sadhiarani M Sangma, and other notable leaders.
