Gas pipeline will extend all the way to Shillong: Union Minister

Shillong, Jul. 11: Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, stated that gas pipelines would be laid in all Northeastern states through the Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd (IGGL), a joint venture of Indian Oil, ONGC, GAIL, Oil India, and Numaligarh Refinery.

“Meghalaya is also included.” This pipeline will extend all the way to Shillong, and we hope to begin construction soon,” Teli, who is currently in the city, told reporters.

The Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas stated that tenders for five blocks were recently invited, and while Meghalaya was not included, tenders for the state will be invited soon.
