Government lifts Covid curbs, schools to reopen from Feb 14

Shillong, Feb 9: The State government has decided to reopen schools from Classes I to V from February 14, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed.

It may be mentioned that Classes I to V, especially in the city, have not had physical sessions since the second wave started last year.

Sangma also said that those persons who are double vaccinated do not need a RTPCR test when they enter Meghalaya. The Chief Minister also said that the night curfew will be lifted from February 11.

He also said that in bars/restaurants and movie theatres only double vaccinated people will be allowed. The Chief Minister however said that the odd-even rule for vehicles will continue in Shillong.
