Shillong, Nov 20: The state executive meeting of the BJP Meghalaya which was held on Saturday has taken the setbacks in elections held in the state in the recent past “seriously”.
“After careful analysis, it has been observed that the pre-election calculation and expectation did not match the ground reality as we may have failed to identify negative trends on time and hence have not managed to rectify them,” the state unit of the BJP stated.
The state unit of the BJP stated that it will introspect on the party’s current situation by constituting a committee.
The committee will comprise of state office bearers, state executive members, karyakartas and party well-wishers.
This committee will also review the state BJP’s performances in various elections and submit a constructive report which will suggest future action plans.
The state unit of the BJP stated that time and again the party has expressed concern and raised its voice against corruption.
“We pledge to fight corruption till we are able to put an end to it,” the Meghalaya BJP unit stated.
The BJP Meghalaya unit has also resolved to energize the party at every level to make it strong to face the immediate and long term challenges.
The meeting was attended by Chuba Ao State Prabhari and National vice-president and A.L Hek national executive member.
