Meghalaya COVID-19 updates: Twelve new cases, twelve recoveries

Meghalaya records seven new COVID-19 cases, five recovers

Shillong, Jan 17:  Twelve new COVID-19 cases took the active tally up to 148, while twelve  more recoveries from the viral infection surged the number of recoveries to 13,412 in Meghalaya on Sunday.

According to the daily health bulletin the new COVID-19 cases detected on Sunday were 11 from East Khasi Hills district(Laitumkhrah Cluster: 02,Nongrim Cluster: 01,Returnee: 01 andUmpling Cluster – 07) and 01 High Risk from East Jaintia Hills district.

The twelve  recoveries from the viral disease registered were 07 from West Jaintia Hills district(Psiar Cluster: 06 and High Risk: 01), 02 from East Khasi Hills District(Umpling Cluster: 01 and High Risk: 01), 01 ILI case from Ri Bhoi District and 01 each High Risk from South Garo Hills district and West Garo Hills district.

The total confirmed COVID 19 cases amount to 13,704 while 13,412 have recovered, 148 are still active and 144 deaths.
