North East artists to facelift Shilpagram at Guwahati

Shillong, Sep 28: The North Eastern Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur organised a painting workshop and renovation of pavilions at its cultural centre situated in Assam popularly known as Shilpagram.

The workshop started on September 27 and will conclude on October 14, in two batches of a team of five artists from each state of the North Eastern region of India.

The first batch is being performed by the artists of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya from September 27 October 4.

The workshop is being supervised by Vezwuso Phesao, Exhibition Officer, NEZCC, Dimapur along with his officials from Shilpagram, Guwahati.

Every team is required to create the artworks that represent the cultural heritage of their respective state and the young artist participants from Meghalaya are Ericson Majaw, Ferrando Mawrie, Shidalin Chyrmang and Fasterfield Ryntathiang.
