SHILLONG, APR 25: National People’s Party (NPP) leader and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday expressed confidence that his party will win the Sohiong Assembly seat in the upcoming election to be held on May 10.
“Our candidate’s prospect is very good and the fight is between us and the UDP candidate and also it seems with the Congress candidate but we will work hard till May 10 and I am sure we will come out victorious,” Tynsong told reporters.
The NPP is fielding former MLA Samlin Malngiang.
When asked if there will be any political change after the election, Tynsong said, “I cannot tell you now. Let us see if any political change happens within May 6, 7 and 8.”
