Shillong, Jul. 16: BSF Meghalaya Frontier organised a ‘Pension Adalat’ at BSF camp Mawpat on July 15, 2022, to address the grievances of BSF retirees and family pensioners from all seven states in the North East region.
Rajesh Kumar Gurung, DIG/PSO Frontier Hq BSF Megh, officially opened the Adalat.
In his inaugural speech, Rajesh Kumar Gurung, expressed his concern about the difficulties faced by pensioners and family pensioners and assured them that they would be free of any pension-related problems during their retirement.
He also stated that the government is always committed to the welfare of its retirees and their families through such schemes, and Pension Adalat is one of the mechanisms for them to file cases of pension-related grievances.
Pensioners from seven North-East Region states attended this Pension Adalat. Pension Adalat was also held via an online module, which BSF pensioners from various North Eastern states could access.
At the event’s conclusion, the retirees expressed their appreciation to the BSF for organising such an event to expedite the resolution of grievances. They went on to say that the BSF not only looks after its Seema Praharis while they are serving, but also after they retire.
