Shops in Iewduh to open three days a week

Shillong, Jul 31: The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, Isawanda Laloo has permitted the opening of shops in Iewduh for three days a week.

“Based on the recommendation of the Incident Commander Zone-IV and the Syiem of Hima Mylliem and that most of the vendors/shopkeepers at Iewduh have completed vaccination, all shops/stalls at Iewduh are now permitted to open three times a week,” Laloo said.

According to the Deputy Commissioner these shops will be opened as per the regulated arrangement to be made by the Incident Commander Zone-IV and the Syiem of Hima Mylliem.

She however said that the vegetable market shall remain closed till further orders.
