Spike in new COVID-19 positive cases, single-day highest recoveries in Meghalaya

235 recovers in Meghalaya, 79 fresh COVID cases detected

Shillong, Oct. 02: Meghalaya reported 231 new COVID-19 positive cases while 225 patients recovered from the viral infection on Friday.

With 231 new cases, the total COVID-19 cases to 6,033 which include 1,755 active cases, 4,226 persons who have recovered, and 52 deaths.

One more succumbs to COVID 19 on Friday taking total rate of fatality in the state  to 52 deaths.

The new cases were 183 from East Khasi Hills district, 13 from East Jaintia Hills, 07 from Ri Bhoi, 09 from West Garo Hills, 09 from South West Garo Hills, 06 from South Garo Hills,  03 from West Khasi  Hills  and 01 from  East Garo Hills district.

The 225  patients who have recovered on Friday include 123 from East Jaintia Hills, 94 from East Khasi, 04 from West Garo Hills, 03 from Ri Bhoi district and  01 from West Khasi Hills district.
