Shillong 28 Oct : The School of Language and Literary Studies, MLCU in collaboration with the
department of Music, MLCU facilitated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)programme for the fifth semester undergraduate students of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong on 27 October 2022.
The two-week session concluded with a performance entitled ‘Sustainable Development Goals through Language and the Arts’ whereby the language promotion goals was fused with western and indigenous music. A number of activities were conducted over the past week which led to the performance. The activities were slogan writing, a musical rhythm of unity, poetry recitation, story-telling, singing, and chanting.
The objective of the programme was to sensitize the students on the importance of the role of language, literature
and music in meeting the SDG goals.
