Govt will decide if final examinations can be held in view of COVID-19 situation: DHS

Shillong, Aug 26: Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War on Wednesday said the state government will take a call whether it is advisable to hold examinations in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
The DHS was reacting to a query on the notification issued by the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) on August 21 that the final year examinations will begin from September third week.
“If they (NEHU) have announced without informing us, I think the government will take a call whether it is advisable or not (to hold examinations),” he said.
