Shillong, July 15: Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War on Wednesday said three persons who had attended the walk-in interview for the post of data entry operator (DEO) in Ri Bhoi District have been isolated and COVID-19 test results are awaited.
The walk-in-interview for the post of DEO was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Nongpoh on July 11.
The district administration of Ri Bhoi had also issued an advisory asking all candidates who had appeared for a walk-in-interview for the post of DEO to go for home quarantine for 14 days.
“There was one person who was suspected to be COVID-19 positive had also attended the interview and we have isolated the person,” Dr War told reporters.
Asked, Dr War said that two others were also isolated. “Test have been conducted and we are waiting for the result,” he added.
Yesterday, Dr War had informed that three persons are contractual employees of the health department in the district and was having duty at the checkpoint at Byrnihat.
“They (contractual staff) had also appeared for the interview for the DEO post. However when they complained, we conducted a truenat test and they came out positive. The three persons were immediately brought to a Corona Care Centre in Shillong,” he had said.
