Three more COVID-19 deaths, 89 recoveries in Meghalaya

State records another COVID-19 death, tolls rises to 150

Shillong, Sept 28: Deaths due to COVID-19 in Meghalaya have increased to 46 after three fresh deaths were reported, even as 60 new positive cases and 89 recoveries were recorded on Monday.

The 60 new cases took the number of active cases to 1,448, and a total recovery of 3,686.

Health Minister, A L Hek informed that the new cases include 46 from East Khasi Hills district, 11 from West Garo Hills district and three from South West Garo Hills districts.

Among the 89 recoveries, 71 are from East Khasi Hills district, 12 from Ri-Bhoi district and six from South West Garo Hills district.

Till date, Meghalaya has registered a total of 5,180 COVID 19 cases out of which, 1,448 are active, 46 deceased and 3,686 recoveries.

Swab samples of 1, 45, 681 persons have been sent for testing out of which 1, 40,319 samples tested negative.
