Shillong Nov 28: The Reserve Bank of India, Shillong in collaboration with the department of commerce and industries on Tuesday conducted a town hall meeting on micro small and medium enterprises (MS&MEs)at Shillong Polytechnic, Mawlai here.
The meeting was attended by officials from SIDBI, NABARD, KVIC, KVIB, public and private sector banks and East Khasi Hills district commerce and industries centres, besides entrepreneurs from different parts of the district.
Ggeneral-manager and officer-in-charge RBI Shillong, Anurag Asthana highlighted various measures taken by the RBI to facilitate the growth of micro small and medium enterprises in the country.
During the open panel discussion, participants raised doubts in connection with credit provided by bank, rate of interest charged in case of sponsored schemes, various schemes available in the banks and other government agencies, which was clarified by concerned officials.
