Shillong, Sept 09: Two more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 19, while 121 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1355 on Wednesday.
In East Khasi Hills district, 30 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 02 and Others : 28), West Garo Hills 25 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 11 and Others : 14),Ri Bhoi 02, West Khasi Hills 01 and East Jaintia Hills 59.
New recovered cases 107 were reported , in East Khasi Hills district 88, South Garo Hills 02, West Garo Hills 05 , North Garo Hills 04, East Jaintia Hills 04, East Garo Hills 02, Ri Bhoi 02, South West Garo Hills 02, total recovered 1823.
Out of 1355 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 860 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 152 and Others : 708). In west Khasi Hills District 31 cases , Ri Bhoi district 117 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 31 and Others : 86), West Jaintia Hills district 11, East Jaintia Hills district 28, West Garo Hills district 193 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 97 and Others :96), South West Garo Hills district 05, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 23 and North Garo Hills district 09.
The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,195 which includes nineteen deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
