Shillong,Sept. 14: Two more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 28, while 139 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1686 on Monday.
DHS (MI) Dr Aman War on Monday evening informed that two male identified as Iohbor Kharshohnoh (46) from 7 Mile, Upper Shillong and Binod Kumar Geonka (66) from Paltan Bazar succumbs to deadly virus today , taking total tally of deaths to 28 in the state.
In East Khasi Hills district, 124 new cases were reported (high risk 66,Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 39, Laban cluster 10, Golf link cluster 06, SARI 03), Ri Bhoi 12, West Garo Hills 01 and East Jaintia Hills 02.
New recovered cases 76 were reported , East Khasi Hills 48 , Ri Bhoi 19 ,West Garo Hills 04 and East Jaintia Hills 05, total recovered 2151.
Out of 1686 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 1124 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 240 and Others : 884). In west Khasi Hills District 14 cases , Ri Bhoi district 130 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 47 and Others : 83),South West Khasi Hills 05, West Jaintia Hills district 13, East Jaintia Hills district 145, West Garo Hills district 198 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 79 and Others :119), South West Garo Hills district 08, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 17 and North Garo Hills district 12.
The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,864 which includes twenty eight deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
