123 new positive cases, 138 recoveries confirmed in Meghalaya

State records another COVID-19 death, tolls rises to 150

Shillong, Oct. 08: Meghalaya reported 123 new COVID-19 positive cases while 138 patients recovered from the viral infection on Thursday.

With 123 new cases, the total COVID-19 cases to 7,263 which include 2,369 active cases, 4,834 persons who have recovered, and 60 deaths.

The new cases were 79  from East Khasi Hills district, 08 from Ri Bhoi,  07 from West Garo Hills,  14 from South Garo Hills, 03 from North Garo Hills, 06 from South West Khasi Hills, 03 from West Jaintia Hills and 01 each from East Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills and East Jaintia HIlls districts.

The 138  patients who have recovered on Thursday include 102 from East Khasi Hills, 04 from East Jaintia Hills, 08 from Ri Bhoi,  16 from West Garo Hills,06 from West Khasi Hills and 01 each from West Jaintia Hills and South West Garo Hills districts.

DHS (MI) Dr Aman Warr on Thursday evening informed that, 27 active positive cases has migrated to Assam from Ri Bhoi distict.
