Shillong Oct 15: Leader of Opposition, Mukul Sangma on Tuesday alleged that there has been lack of development under the present MDA government and termed the present government as “incompetent” and chief minister Conrad K Sangma as “facebook chief minister.”

Speaking to reporters, Sangma said that there has been standstill of developmental works across the state, and the state government did not submit utilization certificates for money released by the Central government for centrally sponsored schemes.

He said that contractors have stopped working because they have not been paid.

“Without submitting the utilization certificates, how will they receive the money? Now they are on rhetorics saying what the Congress can do being in the opposition. They promise to do this and that, but all developmental initiatives come to a standstill. When they cannot show new initiatives, what development are they talking about?” he lambasted.

Stating that the present MDA government is the most incompetent government led by an incompetent chief minister, Sangma said, “the present CM is also called as Facebook Chief Minister by the people. This is the narrative of the common people and not my version.”
