Shillong, Dec 20: After a week long law and order problem, Chief Minister  Conrad Sangma on Friday visited Khyndai Lad  to oversee the festive market in the heart of the city.

“It’s nice to witness large number of people busy shopping for Christmas” Sangma said in his twitter and Facebook.

Sangma also met with some of the business people at the popular sweet  Joint Delhi Mistan.

In the last few days, there has been disruption of normal life and business activities in the main commercial areas of the city like Khyndai Lad and Motphran due to violent incidents when there was protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019.
