Shillong, Sep 14: The opposition Congress on Tuesday has withdrawn it resolution for No Confidence Motion against, Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh.
Informing reporters, leader of opposition, Dr. Mukul Sangma said that the decision was made during the Congress Legislature Party meeting.
Dr. Sangma said that the decision was taken after the Assembly Speaker had admitted most of their issues.
He also said that the Assembly Secretariat has already been informed of the withdrawal.
It may be mentioned that the resolution was signed by four Congress MLAs – Zenith Sangma, Himalaya M Shangpliang, George B Lyngdoh and Kimfa S Marbaniang and was submitted to the Assembly Secretariat on September 2.
