Shillong, Aug 02: The death toll due to coronavirus in Meghalaya on Monday rose to 1109 after it reported a fresh 13 fatalities, the health department said in a bulletin.
East Khasi Hills district alone recorded highest death due to coronavirus till date with 789 deaths .
The state has 5,843 active Covid-19 cases with 350 fresh positive cases.
Meanwhile, the state also records 537 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 58,987.
