Curfew from 6 pm to 6 am, buses arranged for students appearing MBoSE’s exams

Shillong Mar 02: With the situation continuing to be tense, the district administration of East Khasi Hills district has enforced night curfew from 6 pm on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday.

However curfew will continue from 6 am of Tuesday until further orders in areas under Sadar Police Station, Lumdiengjri Police Station and Cantonment Beat House.

On Monday, the first day of the HSSLC examinations, the overall attendance of candidates in Shillong city was 99.20 per cent.

All security arrangements have been made in different examination centres.

Meanwhile the state government informed that buses have been arranged for students appearing the MBoSE’s examinations at examination centres which include St Joseph Girls’ HSS, Jaïaw and Jaïaw Presbyterian HSS, Jaiaw.

The arrangements have been made for students of schools from Mawprem and Mawbah (Barapathar) area appearing for the SSLC examinations which will commence on March 4.

Buses will pick up students from their respective schools at 8:00 AM in the morning and drop them back to their respective schools after the completion of the examinations.

The head of institutions are requested to contact their students to avail the above facilities.
