Shillong , Jan 24: The National People’s Party (NPP) has announced its third list of two candidates for the elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) slated to be held on February 27.

The list approved by the party election committee on Thursday includes the name of former KHADC chief, Pynshngaiñlang N. Syiem.

Syiem, the sitting MDC from Mawsynram constituency, will be contesting from Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah constituency.

He has recently joined the NPP after quitting the People’s Democratic Front, the party he floated before the 2018 Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the NPP has also allotted party ticket to its MLA from Mawshynrut constituency, Gigur Myrthong to contest from the constituency.
