SHILLONG, APR 20: A review meeting was held in the state capital here to discuss on the progress of the Agreed Text of Settlement signed with the ANVC and the ANVC.B, which were disbanded by the Government.
The meeting was chaired by the Joint Secretary of MHA in-charge North East Satyendra Garg and attended by officials of the state government.
Speaking to reporters, Garg said that meeting had discussed and review the progress of the peace pact.
He informed that the next meeting will again be held in Shillong tentatively in the coming month.
When enquired, he said that with regards to the implementation of the rehabilitation package, a lot of progress was made.
According to him, as far as the ANVC is concerned, all their details which include their bank accounts have been received, so that the government can properly rehabilitate the surrendered cardres.
However, Garg said whereas for ANVC.B, there are cadres whose bank accounts are yet to be known.
