Shillong, Sept. 16: In protest against the atrocities and persecution of Rohingya Muslim in Myanmar, a peaceful and silent protest march was held on Friday by the Muslim communities residing in Shillong.
Expressing solidarity toward oppressed, prosecuted, and discriminated Rohingya ethnic minority in Myanmar hundreds of Muslim community people of Shillong march into the street of Shillong to protest the alleged atrocities on Rohingya in Myanmar.
Member of protest rally for Rohingya Muslim Md. Zaki said, we appeal to central Government not to deport Rohingya Muslims back to Myanmar who are there in India which is about 40,000 because if our govt send them to Myanmar that is the state of prosecution than there will be risk of mass killing so we request our central govt to stop deputation plan.
This march is a mark of protest against this atrocities that is happening in Myanmar Rohingya and against the ethnic cleansing and mass killing of Rohingyian minority.
Further ,we want to appeal to the Myanmar Govt to deescalate army from there and establish peace for the sake of humanity, Md. Zaki added.
