Shillong, Feb 18: The District Council Affairs (DCA) department has identified seven counting centers for the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) election.

For the five constituencies of Ri-Bhoi district, the counting will be held at the NSCA, Indoor Stadium, Nongpoh.

For the 13 constituencies of Sohryngkham, Mawkynrew, Nongkrem, Mawsynram, Mylliem, Laban-Mawprem, Nongthymmai, Laitumkhrah-Malki, Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah, Jaiaw, Mawlai, Mawphlang-Diengiei and Nongspung-Sohiong, the counting will be held at Inter State Bus Terminus, Mawiong.

For Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh and Nongskhen constituencies the counting will be held at the office of Sub Divisional Officer, Pynursla.

For Sohra and Shella constituencies, the counting will be held at New Conference Hall, office of Sub Divisional Officer, Sohra.

For Mairang-Nongkhlaw and Pariong-Mawthadraishan in Eastern West Khasi Hills district, the counting will be held at Multipurpose Hall, office of Deputy Commissioner, Mairang.

For the two constituencies in South West Khasi Hills district – Mawkyrwat and langrin the counting will be held in Multipurpose Hall, DC Office Mawkyrwat, and in the three constituencies of West Khasi Hills district – Nongstoin, Rambrai-Jyrngam and Mawshynrut, the counting will be held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Nongstoin.

Elections to the KHADC will be held on February 21 and the counting on February 24.
