Shillong May 26: A conglomerate of six localities of Shillong on Tuesday met East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner M W Nongbri and expressed their reservation against the move of the State government to re-open commercial centers- Iewduh and Khyndai Lad at this juncture.

The six localities came together under the banner of the Lympung ki Hynriew Shnong and submitted a letter to the DC in this regard.

President of the Lympung, Paul Sawian said that the six localities have urged the district administration to convey their views to the state government that it is not advisable to re-open these two commercial hubs now especially when Covid-19 positive cases are increasing in the day by day in different states of the country.
