Shillong, Oct 10: Meghalaya police on Sunday arrested three persons with arms.
According to South Garo Hills district police all of the three were from Assam and two are surrendered cadres of the NDFB.
“Based on reliable source information, a team of South Garo Hills Police has apprehended three persons at Siju-Adura from a Maruti 800 vehicle,” police said.
From the trio , four factory made 7.65 mm pistols and seven rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition were seized.
The arrested individuals are – Kamal Khaklary (35), surrendered cadre of NDFB,
Abhijeet Basumatary alias Nonga (23)
and Jamejoy Basumatary alias Supru (34), surrendered cadre of NDFB.
