Shillong, Jun 1: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons for trying to run over a traffic personnel.
It may be mentioned that a video went viral of a Home Guard Volunteer, Dwustar Lyngkhoi of Madanrting Traffic Branch detaining a vehicle in Nongthymmai and subsequently the drivers and the handyman quarrelling with the personnel and tried to run him over.
The duo, a driver Johnyrias Marboh of Upper Nongrah and his handyman Augustin Marboh of Nongrah Umjapung were arrested and will be forwarded to court.
The incident happened at the Nongthymmai junction when the pick up truck ML05 T 8200 violated traffic regulation.
