Khliehriat, June 1: A physically challenged girl was allegedly raped by a 14-year old boy at Moopala village in East Jaiñtia Hills district recently.

According to an FIR filed at Khliehriat police station on Wednesday, the incident happened on May 18. The boy has been remanded to juvenile home.

The girl could not speak and walk properly.

The report said that the mother of locked the girl inside the house as she went outside for some work.

However when the mother returned home, to her surprise she found the lock has been broken and the materials in the house scattered around.

The girl then tried so hard to explain about what had happened to her through expression and signs and tried to speak the name of the boy who raped her.
