Shillong, Oct 21: The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) will host the 31st State Karate Championship 2025 at the J.N. Indoor Stadium, Polo, from October 23.
The three-day event, supported by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, will bring together the finest karate talent from across Meghalaya, promising a thrilling display of skill and discipline.
In the previous edition, East Khasi Hills emerged as the Overall Champions in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Eastern West Khasi Hills finished as runners-up in the men’s category, while Ri-Bhoi secured the second position in the women’s category.
The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday at 4 PM, with Cabinet Minister Shri Sanbor Shullai, MLA, as the Chief Guest. The championship will be formally inaugurated by Commissioner and Secretary Ms Matsiewdor War Nongbri, IAS.
