Shillong, Aug 21: Election campaign for the bye elections to South Tura and Ranikor constituencies ended on Tuesday at 4 pm.

On the last day of the campasign, candidates organised a series of meetings including house visit to appeal to the voters to vote for them.

Polling to Ranikor and South Tura will be held on Thursday from 7am to 5pm.

Polling will be held in both the constituencies on Thursday, and counting of votes will take place on August 27.

Four companies of CAPF each in South Tura and Ranikor have been deployed for the conduct of the bye elections.
