Shillong, Oct 29: The state Cabinet on Monday approved the appointment of two members in the Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (MSERC) as per an order of the Supreme Court.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the decision was taken based on the recent order of the Supreme Court which directed all state governments to have retired chief justice or retired judges of High Court or District Court as members of the Commission.
