Shillong May 06: CRPF Director General, R. R. Bhatnagar visited field formations in Meghalaya for two days and exhorted the troops to work hard to maintain peace and tranquillity in the North East.
The DG visited the 67th Bn CRPF in Shillong and interacted with the troops.
Exhorting the troops to work hard to maintain peace and tranquillity in the North East, the DG asked senior officers to also pay attention towards the living condition and welfare of men.
During his visit to the Hospital, he enquired about the healthcare facilities and asked the men to maintain cordial relationship with other organisations and the general public.
A Sainik Sammelan was also conducted wherein the DG interacted personally with the troops. Problems projected by the men were solved on the spot.
Bhatnagar along with the IG CRPF, Prakash D, called on the Meghalaya Governor, Tathagata Roy at the Raj Bhavan and apprised the Governor about the role played by CRPF in bringing peace in this region.
The Governor appreciated the role played by the CRPF and congratulated all the officers and men on his behalf.
