Shillong May 7:A petition was submitted to the state government demanding immediate removal of the principal of Pinemount School for her “rude behaviour”.

Banshai Marbaniang on Tuesday met Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui, and submitted a complaint against the principal, A. Diengdoh to take necessary action against the concerned person.

“If this is allowed to continue, it will bring a bad remark to the entire esteem department, and the school in particular,” Marbaniang said.

He informed that he had gone to meet the principal to enquire about the decision of the school to commence the class XI session since the SSLC results are yet to be declared by the MBOSE.

“However, to my utter shock and dismay, the said principal behaved very arrogantly and rudely with me…I was confronted with impudent questions such as who the hell are you! And when I informed her of my queries, I was rudely asked who the hell are you to inquire on such matters? We have our own rules and regulations,” he said.

While speaking to reporters after the meeting, Marbaniang said that he has demanded that the principal should be removed as she has no moral rights to rudely behave with concerned citizens.

“If no action is being taken against her, I would be compelled to approach the human rights commission or the Court and file FIR because it is not right to abuse power being a government official ,” he said.

He said that the minister has maintained that he cannot remove her but assured to summon the principal.
