Shillong, Sep 24: The Meghalaya Football Association is pleased to announce that two referees from the state – Mr Kulishon Shyrkon and Mr Lightstar Kharduit – have passed the practical and viva-voce sections of the exams to become Cat-2 level referees.
This was confirmed by the All India Football Federation recently.
Shyrkon and Kharduit had passed the physical and written exams a few months earlier.
An individual needs around four years of officiating experience to make it to the national level as Cat-2 referee.
The exam was held recently at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
