Korean Film Festival as part of Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong

Shillong, Nov 13: A two-day Korean Film Festival will be held in Shillong as part of the ongoing 4th India International Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Cherry Blossom Festival was inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma at Polo 5th Ground on Wednesday evening.

This year’s India International, Cherry Blossom Festival, 2019, is partnering with the Embassy of Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Centre in this International Year of Indigenous Languages.

The film festival will be inaugurated by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in India (South Korea) Shin Bong-kil on November 15 at 6 pm.

The Festival will be hosted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the Meghalaya Film Makers Association.

The film festival will be held at the State Convention Centre Cultural Hall, Ground Floor (adjacent Pinewood Hotel).

In this Festival, three popular Korean films namely I Can Speak, Confidential Assignment, and Fabricated City will be screened.

The Meghalaya Film Makers Association and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations requested the public and the film fraternity to be a part of this festival.
