Shillong Dec 18: A special session of the Meghalaya Assembly to table and pass a resolution to urge the Centre to implement the Inner Line Permit (ILP) in Meghalaya will be held on Thursday.

The state cabinet has approved the resolution on Wednesday.

The resolution will be taken to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to urge the Centre to extend the Eastern Bengal Frontier Regulation, 1873 to the state of Meghalaya as has been extended to the state of Manipur through a notification on December 11.
