Shillong, May 12: Meghalaya Chief Secretary in an Order issued on Tuesday has informed that in view of several requests received from senior citizens about the difficulties faced by them in obtaining passes they need for medical check-ups or other essential works, the Deputy Commissioners are advised to issue orders exempting senior citizens above the age of 60 years from obtaining vehicle pass and curfew pass.

The senior citizens should carry their valid photo ID card along with them as proof of age while they travel
