Shillong Jun 10: The Meghalaya government has decided to ask private business houses to find ways to provide jobs to the local people.
After a review meeting, deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters that it was decided that Commissioner and secretary
(Commerce) jointly with the labour department will convene a meeting this week with private business houses in the state to discuss the need provide jobs to the local people.
On imposing total lockdown for few more days to prevent the further spread of Coronavirus, Tynsong said that no total lockdown is being imposed for three because the lockdown has been imposed with some relaxations till June 30.
“It is our responsibility to take care and we cannot lockdown for months because people have to earn livelihood. We have been trained to live and take care of ourselves,” Tynsong said.
