Sangju, South Korea | July 26, 2025 — The Shincheonji Church of Jesus Taekwondo team made a strong impression at the prestigious 2025 Park Chung-hee Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition, held at the Sangju Indoor Gymnasium in Gyeongbuk from July 18 to 21.
On July 19, team member Bae Do-won showcased his skills in the official individual Poomsae event, earning praise from judges and spectators alike for his precision and technique. The performance was a highlight among several compelling demonstrations throughout the competition.

The event drew participants and teams from around the world, showcasing the spirit of international sportsmanship and cultural exchange through the traditional Korean martial art of Taekwondo. Hosted annually, the Park Chung-hee Cup has grown into one of Asia’s premier open competitions for both established athletes and rising talents.
The Shincheonji Taekwondo team also took part in various group activities and commemorated their participation with a team photo, symbolizing their unity and commitment to excellence both in sports and in community representation.
Organizers praised the high level of discipline and sportsmanship exhibited by all participants, noting the growing popularity of the event among international teams.
